Frequently Asked Questions

Who is therapy for?

Therapy is for everyone. It can be used as a means of checking-in with yourself every once in a while or to work on specific struggles you have been experiencing. I believe everyone should see a therapist the way everyone sees a doctor. Sometimes you need it more than others.

How do I know I am ready to get started?

Only you can truly know if you are ready to put in the work to make meaningful change.
Some signs you might be ready:
  •  You find yourself trying the same things over and over again with no improvement
  •  You are facing a big life change (career, relationship, etc.)
  •  You've wondered if you can be more yourself in "real life"

How do I know you are a good fit?

If you found yourself connecting with me while reading, that is a good sign we might be a good fit for therapy. If you are still not convinced, I am happy to hop on a FREE consultation call to help you get a better idea of how things might feel.

Can couples do therapy if they aren't experiencing anything "that bad"?

This is a great question! Relationships are messy, even if it doesn't seem like the problem you are experiencing is "that bad" it is still important to you. I also see couples who just want to check-in, particularly before taking their relationship to the next level (marriage, kids, etc.). Sometimes dedicating intentional time to your relationship can be exactly what you need! Let's chat more about what that can look like.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

I offer both virtual and in-person therapy sessions. My office is located in Ballwin.

What is virtual therapy like?

Virtual therapy can feel more accessible than coming in to the office.  The therapy itself is the same as what you would get sitting across from me on a cozy couch, but you are in your cozy spot at home. There is less of a time commitment (no commute!) and I find clients are able to meet throughout the day at times they wouldn't be able to otherwise. I use a HIPPAA compliant platform, so we can chat safely.

What if I have more questions?

Same! I always feel like there is one more question left unanswered (and then one more after that).  I am always happy to answer those lingering questions,  just send me a chat  and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
